About Me
Born in 1990 in Braga, Portugal and based in Oslo, Norway, composer E. Sousa is characterized by his unique blend of classical roots and modern soundscapes. He first captured attention at the tender age of 15 when an original composition of his was performed live by an orchestra, marking the transition of his passion from a mere hobby to a serious artistic pursuit.
Over the years, E. Sousa has crafted a distinctive style that resonates with the essence of descriptive music and soundtracks. His music has graced stages both nationally and internationally, showcasing his evolution as a versatile musician. With a solid foundation as a violinist, his portfolio has been built drawing from practical experience and a deep understanding of classical music.
In recent years, E. Sousa has ventured into the realm of soundtrack composition, attending workshops and masterclasses featuring renowned film composers and earning accolades such as second place in the international competition “Score the World.” His passion for music has led him to collaborate with a diverse array of artists, including notable bands like “Expensive Soul”, “Yesterdaze” and artists like “Rafael Xavier” and “Miguel Tela”, among others.
Currently, E. Sousa is involved in producing original themes and arrangements through freelance commissions and his own projects, further expanding his artistic horizons. With several recorded songs and albums under his belt, he continues to push the boundaries of his artistic vision, inviting listeners to experience the rich narratives woven into each of his compositions.
